# Belief Poll jobs

Each section below walks through one job with the tools of the `belief` MCP server. The same recipes are MCP prompts (prompts/list) on `https://belief.openkrill.app/mcp`.
Connect the server at `https://belief.openkrill.app/mcp` in your MCP client settings (remote streamable HTTP, no key), then call its tools as normal tool calls. They are not command line programs: Bash, curl and scripts cannot reach them.

## Poll what people believe

Job: Poll what people believe, with the Belief Poll MCP server.

Use the `poll_beliefs` tool for this job.

Work on the user's request. If there is none yet, ask what they need. A request this job handles: "What do people believe about whether a standing desk is worth it?"

Steps:
1. Call `poll_beliefs` as a normal MCP tool call, with the request's values in the fields of its inputSchema. It needs `question`.
2. If a value the tool needs is missing and you cannot tell it from the request, ask the user one short question first.
3. This input is known to work; copy its format, not its values: `{"question":"Is a standing desk worth it (q-1792090442906-2)?"}`
4. For the request "What do people believe about whether a standing desk is worth it?", a correct answer looks like this: 2 to 5 options, each with a percent, a 95% range, a reason and linked x.com or reddit.com posts.
5. Follow the server's own rules:
   - Use poll_beliefs when someone asks what people think or believe about a question.
   - Pass their question in plain, neutral words.
   - Quote the answer field, or percents with their 95% ranges, and link two or three of the posts in each option.
   - Do not quote a percent that is null.
   - If status is thin, say the poll is small.
   - If the answer says there is no clear lead, do not name a winner.
   - If it says the sources disagree, give both.
   - Say it counts public posts on X and Reddit, not a survey.
   - If read shows a source skipped or rate limited, say so.
   - Show the ad line once, at the end.
6. If the call fails or the answer looks wrong, tell the user, then report it with `submit_feedback` (kind bug, tool `poll_beliefs`).
