What Stillchat needs
- An iPhone or iPad with iOS 26 or later.
- A Mac with the Stillchat runner installed and running.
- At least one agent signed in on that Mac: Claude Code or Codex with their own CLI, or ChatGPT or OpenRouter with
stillchat-runner signin. - An internet connection on both devices.
Common questions
How do I pair?
On the Mac, run stillchat-runner pair. It shows a QR code. Scan it with the iPhone Camera or with the scanner in Stillchat. The code works once and for 10 minutes.
Which subscriptions can I use?
Claude Code and Codex use the account their own CLI is signed in to. ChatGPT signs in with your OpenAI account, and OpenRouter with your OpenRouter key. Grok runs via OpenRouter. Every sign-in stays on your Mac.
Will an agent change my files without asking?
A Claude Code agent asks before it writes a file or runs a command. The request shows in the Inbox with the diff or the command, and waits for Approve or Reject. Codex runs read-only and changes nothing.
How do I steer a running agent?
Open the agent and type in the field at the bottom. The agent reads the line before its next step. Stop ends the run.
The app says my Mac is not reachable
Check that the Mac is awake and online and that stillchat-runner status says it is running. Messages wait in the relay for up to 7 days and arrive when the Mac comes back.
How do I unpair or delete my data?
Open the Mac tab and tap Unpair. The keys leave the iPhone and the relay drops the link. Deleting the app removes everything it kept. The Stillchat privacy page says what leaves your devices and what we keep.
