Agent Tools weekly

What we measured in the week's posts, and what you can try

It's a free email, at most one a week, and only in a week with new blog posts. Each post comes with something you can try yourself and what we found when we tried it. The email ends with one tool to run. OpenKrill builds Agent Tools, free checks that people and AI agents run on a mail domain, an online store, a job board or a website. The posts cover what those checks find and how we build them.

You're on the list only once you click the link in the confirm email. We store your address, whether you confirmed, and when; we use that only to send this newsletter, and no outside mail or marketing service gets your address. The "Manage or delete your data" link in every issue lets you download or delete it. Privacy details.

Read every past issue before you subscribe.

Rather use a feed reader? The blog RSS feed has the full posts, without the weekly notes.

Sample: one of the six notes in issue 1

Is my domain ready for cold email? Our own score before and after one DNS record

If your domain sends mail and has no DMARC record, add a TXT record at _dmarc.yourdomain.com with v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:dmarc@yourdomain.com, using a mailbox at that same domain. p=none blocks no spoofed mail. It only asks receivers for reports, so read them for 2 to 4 weeks and then move to p=quarantine once every service that sends your mail passes SPF or DKIM aligned with your From domain. Our score on Domain Mail Check, the tool this issue ends with, went from 80 to 96 for having the record at all, not for blocking anything.

After you subscribe

The confirm email comes from weekly@news.openkrill.app within a few minutes. If it isn't there, check your spam folder. Our own mail server sends every issue, and the emails have no tracking pixel and no redirect links. Every issue has a one-click unsubscribe link.

For scripts and AI agents

Sign up by posting the form field email. You get a 303 redirect to the check-your-inbox page.

curl -d email=you@example.com https://tools.openkrill.app/newsletter/subscribe

An agent can't confirm for a person, so tell the person to open the confirm email. The subscriber count is public JSON for scripts. It gives the confirmed count as subscribers, and no addresses.
