All 5 companies use Greenhouse. Each answer holds at most 25 jobs per company, in the order the board lists them, and on 2026-10-08 all 5 boards held more than that.
So read each row as a sample of 25 postings, not the whole board. Age counts from the day the board says the job was first published.
How to find open jobs on a Greenhouse or Lever board
A Greenhouse careers page has a board name, such as stripe in job-boards.greenhouse.io/stripe. The public Job Board API lists that board's jobs as JSON, each with a first_published date. Lever, Ashby and SmartRecruiters publish similar APIs.
Company Jobs Finder does the lookup for you. Give it a company name, and it finds the board and returns each job's title, department, locations, posting day and apply link.
Filters for a keyword, a location, remote work and a "posted since" day narrow the list. The answers about company job searches show sample questions and results.
Is an old posting a ghost job?
Not by itself. A ghost job is a listing a company has no real plan to fill, and a long-open posting is the first sign people point to.
The US labor statistics survey counts a job as open only when it could start within 30 days and the company is actively recruiting. A posting cannot show either from outside.
Some roles stay open on purpose: sales roles, hard-to-fill senior roles, and postings that hire several people. Use age as a question for the recruiter, together with a vague description or no named team.
What these numbers cannot show
- Reposts. If a company closes a job and posts it again as a new job, the new posting gets its own first-published date, so the age starts over.
- Hiring activity. The board shows what is listed, not how many people applied or were hired.
- The rest of the board. The sample is the first 25 jobs in the board's own order. A full count needs every page of the board.
To run the same check on companies you care about, follow the Company Jobs Finder install guide for Claude. More job search tools are on the page of tools for job seekers.
Try it: run the same check yourself with Company Jobs Finder, with no key, or read every post on the Agent Tools blog.
